A happy family

This would be a perfect family portrait.

The father sports Elvis' hair, and the mom with the wavy and curly do. And the kids were the exact copy of the parents.

There were supposed to be 2 more little kiddos, but I think they got lost somewhere and yet to find their way home. Or was it that I was the one ditching them in one of the boxes and failed to find them back? Hmm..

Yet to find them a home, (or hands for that matter haha), but this family portrait is one of those experiments I made ages ago, but only now managed to squeeze into the blog's mainframe.

Quilling on Canvas

This is more like a scrapbooking style, but with a lil quilling twist on it. Each quilled piece was carefully coated with sealant so the colours would stay, and it'll be a bit of water-resistant. I use rub-ons for the words and loving the effect they have on canvas.

I'm not really good at quilling roses (they always ended up being slightly skewed LOL), but I kinda like these roses hehe.

The canvas is 8' x 8' in size and suitable for wall decoration. I's originally up for sale, but now I'm thinking over, and thought maybe I should keep everything for my new studio hehehe (I'm greedy that way).

Daddy's Girl

I always thought he's a great man who knew everything. He knows all answers to my questions. He's my walking dictionary/ thesaurus when I need one. He's my grammar guru whenever I'm confused. He's my art advisor. My hardcore supporter. My no 1 fan.

The moment I told him I dreamt of having my own studio at home, he threw away everything in the back room to make room for my stuff. He even plan the whole new cabinet design for the room, added in a huge table and told me to just have things I want in the room.

It's great to be a daddy's girl. It's greater when you share lots of things in common with your dad.

Happy birthday to the greatest dad in the world. Love you ayah!

My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose.

O my luve is like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June:
O my luve is like the melodie,
That's sweetly played in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
And I will luve thee still my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile.

(Robern Burns, Scottish poet)
